Come build your career with BAE Systems.Applies a variety of standard and experimental finishes to both production and prototype metal and composite parts in conformance with military specifications. Ensures proper surface masking and preparations, mixing epoxies and solvents to appropriate ratios by weight, volume or viscosity, incorporating a knowledge of scales and weights and how substances interact. Prepares the surfaces of parts, assemblies, and finished products by cleaning, stripping, abrading, sanding, and masking. Selects and mixes finishing materials, coats and /or touches up product with various epoxy primers and paints. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process control and procedures. Works from blueprints and process sheets to develop finishing processes, applications and techniques where thickness tolerances are critical.Auto req ID471324BRMinimum Education RequiredHigh School/GEDJob_CategoryOperationsAdditional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesRequired Education, Experience, & SkillsHigh School Diploma or GEDOne (1) year of experience with precision application of paint on small assemblies by hand or with spray equipment.Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Prior experience sitting for extended periods performing detailed masking and touch-up work while maintaining quality and rate goals.Must meet critical paint thicknesses requirements.Physical Requirements:This position requires the ability to perform tasks that involve standing, sitting, bending, reaching, and lifting.The role also requires fine motor skills and visual acuity for precision work.A respirator must be worn while performing spraying operationsPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $45320 - $72490Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
