Location: Poughkeepsie, NYHours: Mon, Wed, Fri 11a-3p (12 hours)Rate: $20.45Individuals with a disability are strongly encouraged to apply as this is a NYSID contract.OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:This position will be responsible for the cleaning of a office building in the Poughkeepsie area. Quality assurance, maintaining overhead costs, and ensuring high customer service standards are the major tasks associated with this position.PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:Floor Care (knowledge of scrubbers or auto-buffers a plus)Cleaning of restroomsWindow cleaningRemoving of trash and recyclablesVacuuming & DustingPossible snow removalADDITIONAL FUNCTIONAL / ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT:Works as part of a team to ensure the requirements of the contract are fulfilledAdditional tasks as assigned by supervisorQUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:Previous custodial or janitorial experienceStrong organization skills with accurate attention to detailExcellent communication skills and the ability to multi- taskGood customer service skillsAble to adapt and work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to function as part of a cohesive team EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Previous cleaning experience requiredPHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:Capable of walking between buildings to get to other locationsMust be capable of standing for several hoursMust be able to moving arms back and forth in a "mopping" motionMust be able to lift >20 lbsMust be able to climb stairsWork alongside co-workers within 3 feetMust be able to reach overhead to get at higher locations
