High School Math Tutor

At Dynamic Tutoring Solutions, students develop the necessary tools to be successful and independent learners in and beyond the classroom. Students develop lasting relationships with their tutors to learn strategies and build confidence. Tutors work with students for the full school year, and often several years given the relationship they build with students and their families. Student profiles range by grade and ability. As a tutor, you'll have the chance to make a meaningful difference in students' lives by helping them improve their academic and personal skills. Your students will primarily be in middle and high school. While math will be the primary area of support, many students will also benefit from executive functioning. Tutoring sessions are usually 50 minutes in length and 2x/week. Tutors are independent contractors with contracts for the full academic school year. Pay $70/session and over $1,400 per month. Tutoring Responsibilities: Understand and be able to support students in algebra, geometry, statistics, and calculus Manage tutoring sessions with multiple students (simultaneously) in your area of expertise Incorporate Executive Functions (time-management, planning, prioritizing, organization, independence) and soft skills (critical thinking, creative problem solving, confidence, advocacy) into all sessions Must hold students accountable for their work, and be willing to have difficult conversations with the student and/or their parents when the student is falling behind Create an engaging learning environment and enhance student confidence and interest in learning. Conduct assessments and provide feedback for teachers and students.
