Cashier/Customer Service

Overview We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Cashier/Customer Service Associate to join our team at a busy retail or grocery store. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a welcoming shopping environment. Responsibilities Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately and quickly Greet customers warmly and assist with their needs using excellent phone etiquette and communication skills Handle cash, credit, and other payment methods with accuracy and integrity Upsell products and promote store promotions or product demos to enhance sales opportunities Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and stocking shelves as needed Assist customers with product inquiries, returns, or exchanges in a professional manner Ensure the checkout area remains clean, organized, and welcoming throughout shifts Support inventory management through stock replenishment and inventory checks Provide bilingual assistance when necessary to serve a diverse customer base Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred Proficiency with POS systems and basic retail math skills for cash handling and transactions Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver excellent customer service in person and over the phone Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately Experience with merchandising, stocking, or product demos is a plus Supervising experience is desirable for candidates interested in leadership roles Bilingual abilities are highly valued to assist a diverse clientele Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with retail environments is advantageous This position provides an engaging work environment where teamwork, communication, and customer satisfaction are prioritized.
