Supply Chain Manager

Job DescriptionThe RoleLead operational supply chain execution from supplier to manufacturing site while building the next‐generation capabilities required for a more resilient, data‐driven, and agile supply chain. This role ensures uninterrupted material flow, vehicle and service parts availability, and disciplined response to daily disruptions—while simultaneously elevating team capability through innovation, digital adoption, and continuous upskilling.You will manage and develop a high‐performing team responsible for translating demand into executable supply plans, stabilizing operations, and modernizing supply chain execution across suppliers, plants, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders.What You'll DoOperational Leadership & ExecutionOwn day‐to‐day operational supply chain execution to ensure material availability for automotive manufacturing and service parts fulfillmentLead rapid issue identification, containment, and resolution for supply, capacity, logistics, and supplier disruptionsPartner cross‐functionally with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Logistics, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to drive timely decisions and trade‐offsManage and escalate operational risks with clear visibility to impact, recovery plans, and customer exposureMonitor and improve core operational KPIs (material availability, supplier performance, inventory health, premium freight, schedule adherence)Assess supplier ship plans, capacity constraints, and recovery actions to protect production and customer commitmentsInnovation & Continuous ImprovementLead the reimagination of operational supply chain processes, leveraging data, automation, and digital tools to improve speed, visibility, and execution disciplineIdentify and deploy innovative solutions that reduce manual work, improve decision quality, and strengthen operational resilienceTranslate emerging technologies and analytics into practical, scalable operational use casesDrive standardization and simplification through improved tools, workflows, and operational playbooksChampion a culture of continuous improvement and problem‐solving rigor, grounded in real‐world executionTalent Development & UpskillingBuild a future‐ready supply chain organization by actively developing team capability in analytics, digital tools, systems thinking, and operational decision‐makingEstablish clear expectations for skill progression, learning, and capability building across the teamCoach leaders and individual contributors to operate effectively in high‐ambiguity, fast‐paced environmentsFoster a learning culture that encourages curiosity, experimentation, and adoption of new ways of workingLead performance management, succession planning, and talent development to ensure bench strength and long‐term organizational healthLeadership & CommunicationProvide clear, concise communication to leadership during both crisis situations and routine operating reviewsInfluence without authority across global, cross‐functional stakeholdersOperate with urgency, accountability, and decisiveness while balancing short‐term execution with long‐term capability buildingYour Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)Bachelor's degree10+ years of experience across automotive supply chain, manufacturing operations, or service parts5+ years of experience in material flow, production scheduling or supplier management/logistics operationsProven experience leading teams (minimum 4–5 direct reports) in complex, high‐pressure operational environmentDemonstrated ability to drive innovation and capability transformation within an operational organizationStrong operational judgment with the ability to make timely decisions with incomplete informationAdvanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint; experience translating data into actionExecutive‐level communicator able to summarize issues, actions, and risks succinctlyWilling to travel 10-40% domestic + internationalWhat Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)Master's degreeExperience supporting automotive plants, service parts operations, or global supply networksDemonstrated results delivering operational stability, cost reduction, and capability transformationProven track record of connecting business needs with innovative, execution‐focused solutionsGM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
