Plant Manager Location: Niles, Michigan Reports to: Regional Operations Manager FLSA Status: Exempt Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Plant Manager to lead our dynamic team and oversee the daily operations of our facility. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a proven track record in plant management, possessing a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, with a primary focus on safety, customer service, profitability, efficiency, and team engagement. The Plant Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and productivity of the plant while promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Direct and manage all plant operations, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards Implement and enforce standardized operating procedures to enhance efficiency and consistency Champion a safety-first culture by implementing and enforcing safety protocols Investigate and address any safety incidents promptly, implementing preventive measures Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance productivity Implement and maintain stringent quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed industry and customer standards Continuously identify opportunities for improvement in product quality and consistency Manage resources including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet production demands Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and reduce operational costs Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth Work with sales team to understand customer needs and expectations Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure efficiency, customer satisfaction, and on-time delivery Lead and inspire a diverse team of production staff, supervisors, and support personnel Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, conducting regular team meetings to discuss goals, address concerns, and encourage feedback This list of duties is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that senior management may deem necessary. Qualifications/Skills: Bachelor's degree in operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred Proven experience in plant management within a manufacturing environment In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, manufacturing processes, and quality standards Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a focus on continuous improvement Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
