As a Music Therapist at The Learning Spectrum (TLS), you'll use the power of music to support emotional regulation, communication, and behavioral growth in children and young adults with autism spectrum disorder and developmental delays. You'll design individualized interventions rooted in both music therapy and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to help each learner reach meaningful milestones.What You'll NeedMaster's degree in Music Therapy from an AMTA-approved programActive certification through the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT)At least two years of experience supporting children in behavioral, clinical, or educational settingsAbility to collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, and familiesStrong documentation, communication, and organizational skillsWhat You'll DoDevelop and implement evidence-based music therapy sessions tailored to each client's goalsIntegrate behavioral and therapeutic strategies to promote social, emotional, and cognitive growthCollaborate with BCBAs, educators, and caregivers to ensure coordinated, client-centered treatmentUphold AMTA ethical standards and maintain active certification and continuing education requirementsThe Learning Spectrum is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
