As part of our Food & Beverage team, you’ll help serve delicious meals in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that reflects our mission of inclusion and excellence.Position SummaryThe Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of menu items according to established recipes and food safety standards. This individual will ensure high-quality food presentation, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and support the overall food service operation in a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate thrives in a team-oriented environment and consistently delivers outstanding service to our guests.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes and portion control guidelinesMaintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all kitchen areas, including food prep, storage, and equipmentFollow food safety procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulationsWork collaboratively with other kitchen and service staff to ensure efficient food service operations\Set up and stock workstations before shifts and break down stations at closingMonitor food quality, temperatures, and presentation for consistency and complianceAssist with receiving, labeling, and storing deliveries properlyMaintain inventory of food items and communicate supply needs to the supervisorSupport the catering team with food prep and execution for special events as neededRequirementsMANDATORY AND DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION AND TRAINING:High school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious experience in a commercial kitchen or food service setting preferredValid Texas Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)Understanding of food safety, cross-contamination, and proper food handling techniquesAbility to read and follow recipes and instructions with attention to detailStrong communication and organizational skillsAble to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in hot or fast-paced environmentsAvailability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and eveningsBackground check and drug test required upon employment offerDesired SkillsBilingual in English and Spanish a plusExperience in high-volume food preparation and catering environmentsBasic knife skills and understanding of commercial kitchen equipmentAbility to adapt to changing menus or guest needs with professionalism and positivityWorking ConditionsThe working conditions described herein are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the position.
