At Respond our motto is "Empowerment through Early Education".RESPOND, Inc. is seeking a Center Director Mentor. Through a mentor–mentee relationship, the Center Director Mentor helps Respond Center employees expand their knowledge and practice, enhance their networks, and improve performance and career development. Through one on one training, technical assistance, and self-directed learnings, this position also provides new directors and center employees with tools and resources on key early learning center systems, leadership, and governance. The mentoring program is designed to ensure that both mentor and mentees benefit in ways that result in enhanced performance and career development; as well as overall career satisfaction. Through this opportunity, new directors and center employees have the opportunity to become more effective leaders to achieve maximum positive impact within their centers to meet the needs of Respond’s children and families. This position reports to the Director of Early Care and Education. This is a full time, hourly position, 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday.Duties/ResponsibilitiesMeets with all new center hires, including Group Teachers, Teacher Aides, BOE and EHS personnel, and Center Directors after onboarding to offer one-on-one mentorship in all early learning center aspects.Updates employees on early learning center company policies and proceduresThis position evaluates instructional needs, delivers training, and assesses learningIs a member of total team effort in maintaining best possible environment for childrenImplements classroom curriculumMaintains on-going relationships with all employees, parents, and stakeholdersIs a part of team effort in initial intake work and parent conferencesPlans, schedules, and executes trips for the centerOrganizes center parent meetings; and encourages parent participationDirects the mission of the positive development (physical, mental, emotional, and social) of children involved in the programAssists with attendance, inventory, personnel records, and petty cashDevelops reports as necessary, i.e., vouchers, food program quarterly monitoring, child development, etc.Keeps open lines of communication within agencyDirects short-and long-term planning of overall center operationsKeeps current license and certifications on site as necessaryRequired Skills/AbilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated proficiency with Microsoft, including Outlook.Ability to support and eloquently promote the mission of Respond, Inc.
