JOB TITLE: Technical Designer 5LOCATION: Seattle, WAPAY RATE: $66.50/hour We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.Job Details: Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)Industry: Aerospace / Defense / AviationBenefits: Medical, dental, and vision (Cigna)Perks: Bonus potential + Priority access via Tier 1 supplierOpenings Nationwide: Thousands of opportunities across the U.S.Summary: Prepare and maintain detailed engineering drawings, assemblies, and installations using CAD tools.Understand and apply design product structure, including parts, assemblies, and details.Support machining and manufacturing processes by providing accurate part and assembly designs.Utilize CATIA or equivalent solid modeling tools for 3D modeling of components and assemblies.Use Integrated Visualization Tools (IVT) to support design reviews, configuration management, and visualization of assemblies.Collaborate with multiple organizations to coordinate design requirements and project timelines.Support investigative and problem-solving activities for design-related issues.Assist in project management activities, tracking multiple projects through various stages of development.Work in lab environments as required to support testing, verification, and design validation.Requirements: Associate degree in a related discipline, or a combination of education and experience in drafting or engineering design.Typical experience in drafting classification, including basic understanding and usage of CAD tools.Basic understanding of design product structure, including parts, assemblies, and installations.Understanding of machining of metallic parts.9+ years of experience in aerospace design, including work with detail and assembly parts.Proficiency in CATIA or equivalent solid modeling software.Experience using Integrated Visualization Tools (IVT).Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).Preferred Qualifications:Strong problem-solving and investigative skills.Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Project management experience coordinating projects at various stages with multiple organizations.Experience working in lab environments.About Us:The Structures Company is a premier national aerospace and defense staffing agency specializing in contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire placements.
