Fiber-Cable Technician

We are a contract partner for the Centerville, TN area. Experience is required to be considered for this position. You must also have your own vehicle that is capable of carrying a 28' extension ladder along with all the materials needed to do the job. Shifts will be discussed during the interview process. Summary Installs, terminates, tests, and troubleshoots communications cable systems by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Coax and fiber work Pulls cables, such as coaxial, twisted pair, and other cable types, through conduit, above ceilings, through crawl spaces, and between floors. Installs modular connectors for data and telephone users. Uses cable testing equipment to troubleshoot problems. Provides new users and existing users with cable and modular connections, and relocates cable connections for existing users. Installs user-end equipment, such as set top boxes, cable modems, routers, and telephony equipment Eligibility Requirements Clean background check, with no felony ever and no misdemeanor within 5 years. No open warrants. Clean driving record Truck, van, or SUV in good working condition to work out of. Valid vehicle insurance and driver’s license. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug tests while employed.
