Determine whether parts should be cleaned or replaced. Install, adjust and set automotive systems in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and tests the completed product. Duties are performed independently in accordance with accepted trade practices and guides. Requirements Help Conditions of employmentDirect Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. A medical examination is required as this position requires frequent lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 40 pounds. Occasionally, move moderately heavy items weighing 50 or more pounds with assistance or with mechanical devices. Must be willing to accept varying and/or rotating shifts to include mornings, afternoons, early evening, weekdays, weekends, and holidays. This position is dual compensation exempt. All GS and NAF employees whether full time or part time are eligible to apply for this position. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid state driver's license prior to the time of appointment. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
