Travel Physical Therapist - Outpatient

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week outpatient and inpatient PT assignment at a Level III Trauma facility in California.Job Details• Outpatient and inpatient Physical Therapy setting at a Level III Trauma facility,• Inpatient coverage areas include med/surg (45-50%), telemetry (35%), ICU, and occasionally ER or pediatrics,• Outpatient caseload is approximately 65% orthopedic (shoulders, knees, backs) and the remainder neuro/stroke patients,• Outpatient clinic hours are 6:00 AM-7:00 PM; PT shifts are 8 hours with variable start times,• Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts,• Weekend coverage is approximately 3 shifts per quarter and is negotiable; travelers may choose Saturday, Sunday, or both,• Cerner EMR is used for charting,• Rehab aides are available in the outpatient setting,• Inpatient PT/OT may be required to work across both inpatient and outpatient settings depending on facility need,Job Requirements• Minimum 2 years of recent PT experience required,• Active state PT license required at time of consideration; pending licenses will not be accepted - license required if applicable,• Current BLS certification required; pending certifications will not be accepted,• General acute care experience required for inpatient assignments, including total joints (knees, hips, shoulders),• Orthopedic and neuro experience required for outpatient assignments,• Driver's license required for consideration,• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire,Additional Information• Inpatient PT responsibilities include treating ortho, neuro, wound care, lymphedema, and occasional pediatric patients,• Outpatient PT responsibilities include treating primarily orthopedic conditions and some neuro/stroke patients,• Ideal candidates will have both inpatient and outpatient experience, though having both is not strictly required,• Several shifts of floor-specific orientation are provided,• Inpatient dress code requires Dignity Health branded polos, which the facility can provide if needed,• Outpatient dress code is business casual - collared shirt and nice pants; lab jacket is optional,
