Process Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of AWS weld specifications, particularly in the aerospace and nuclear sectors, and will play a key role in driving process improvements, creating work instructions, and solving complex problems.. Responsibilities · Develop and implement process improvements in line with the Toyota Production System. · Ensure compliance with AWS weld specifications relevant to aerospace and defense (e.g., AWS D1.1, AWS D17.1). · Utilize knowledge of sheet metal and turret presses to enhance manufacturing processes. · Create and maintain detailed work instructions to ensure consistent and efficient operations. · Lead continuous improvement initiatives, employing lean methodologies and tools. · Conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving sessions to address process challenges. · Engage in Gemba walks to observe operations, identify issues, and propose actionable solutions. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes and enhance product quality. Experience · Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field). · Proven experience in process engineering, preferably in aerospace or defense industries. · Strong knowledge of AWS weld specifications and testing requirements. · Familiarity with the Toyota Production System and lean manufacturing principles. · Experience with sheet metal fabrication and turret press operations. · Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. · Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
