Elementary Teacher (part-time)

Job Summary: A South Tulsa Academy University-Model® teacher is a part-time, mission-aligned educational leader. This hybrid teaching role combines traditional classroom instruction with at-home learning support, partnering closely with parents to provide students with a high-quality, biblically integrated education. The ideal candidate is passionate about both academic excellence and discipleship, and is eager to invest in students' spiritual, intellectual, and personal growth. Teachers will provide on-campus instruction two days per week and maintain regular communication and support for families on home days.Qualifications:We seek qualified candidates who demonstrate the following:A strong Christian testimony and a clear calling to serve as a positive Christian role model to students.Knowledge and experience in early childhood and/or elementary education.A collaborative spirit and loyalty to support school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities.Strong leadership abilities, including vision-setting, trust-building, motivation, accountability, and effective feedback.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex educational situations with sound judgment.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to clearly guide and support students and families.Confidence in using technology, particularly the Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc.), and other educational tools.A commitment to stewarding school resources responsibly and with integrity.Responsibilities and Duties: Teach on campus two days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays).Maintain limited remote office hours (approximately one hour daily on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays) for parent communication.Follow all South Tulsa Academy policies and procedures.Attend required meetings and events, including parent-teacher conferences (Fall/Spring), faculty meetings, devotions, training sessions, and school functions.Prepare and deliver lessons, units, and projects that meet curriculum learning objectives.Submit weekly lesson plans to the school administrator for review.Communicate clearly with parents regarding assignments, units, and student progress.Adapt teaching methods and materials to support diverse learning styles and student interests.Establish and maintain classroom expectations using effective behavior management strategies.Keep accurate and up-to-date records of grades, attendance, assessments, and student goal plans.
