We invest in training, advancement, and safety while offering meaningful work that supports a more sustainable future.Who We're Looking ForWe are hiring experienced laborers who live within 90 miles (1.5 hours) of our Middlesex, VT office.Winter months: Limited travelOnce spring breaks: Travel to job sites across VT, NH, and NY is requiredThis role is intended for individuals seeking career-long employment, starting as a laborer with opportunities to grow within the company.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform physical labor including digging, shoveling, spreading, and leveling dirt and gravelMeasure distances from grade stakes, set tight lines, and drive stakesUtilize hand tools including pick, shovel, and other construction toolsPerform excavation, trenching, scaffold erection, shoring, and debris removalSignal equipment operators for alignment and adjustmentsFine-grade earth to specifications using hand toolsMix, pour, and place concrete, gravel, and other materialsPosition, align, join, and seal pipe sectionsLift, carry, and support construction materials (up to 50 lbs)Bolt, nail, align, and support structural componentsPerform cleanup and general site maintenanceFollow all Kingsbury safety policies and proceduresRequired Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesCivil construction experience is REQUIRED, including one or more of the following:Pipe layingSeptic systemsWater servicesCulvertsConcrete or carpentry workValid driver's licenseWillingness to obtain OSHA 10 CertificationWillingness to travel during the construction seasonAbility to perform heavy physical labor in all weather conditionsAbility to kneel, stoop, crouch, climb, crawl, and work at heights or in confined spacesReliable attendance and punctualityAbility to follow verbal instructions and adapt to changing tasksStrong commitment to quality workmanship and jobsite safetyCompensation & Benefits$20–$26 per hour, based on experienceYear-round employmentLimited winter travelTraining and advancement opportunitiesWork with an established, award-winning heavy civil contractorEqual Opportunity Employer (Vermont)Kingsbury Companies, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
