Forward Deployed Engineer

We are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to work directly with customers and partners to deploy, integrate, and extend advanced AI systems into real-world applications. In this role, you’ll act as the bridge between our core engineering teams and external stakeholders—solving complex technical challenges, adapting models to domain-specific use cases, and ensuring successful deployments in production environments.The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering skills with adaptability, customer-facing communication, and the ability to thrive in ambiguous problem spaces.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with customers to deeply understand their technical and business needs.Design, build, and deploy integrations between AI systems and customer environments.Adapt core AI models and infrastructure to fit domain-specific requirements.Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in deployed systems quickly and effectively.Partner with product and research teams to feed deployment insights back into core development.Create technical documentation, deployment playbooks, and reusable integration assets.Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, helping them maximize value from AI solutions.Operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while prioritizing impact.QualificationsStrong software engineering background, proficient in Python and modern development practices.Experience with APIs, distributed systems, or ML/AI integrations in production.Ability to collaborate directly with customers and translate business requirements into technical solutions.Strong problem-solving skills, with a bias toward execution and adaptability.Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Comfort working in high-ambiguity, rapidly evolving contexts.Preferred ExperiencePrior experience in a forward deployed / customer engineering role.Exposure to ML/AI applications, large language models, or data-intensive systems.Background in systems integration, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise deployment.Experience building domain-specific solutions in industries such as finance, healthcare, or government.Familiarity with security, compliance, or performance optimization in customer environments.Contract DetailsType: Temporary/Contract (6–12 months, possibility of extension)Engagement: Full-timeCompensation: $150 - $200 / hour
