Material Handler

The general, long-term duties and responsibilities of the job include, but are not limited to the following. Duties and Responsibilities Unloading of raw material shipments (receive and unload). Must be able to use measuring instruments; tape measure, calipers, etc. Maintain steel inventory spreadsheet. Keep steel room organized. Operate band saw to cut raw materials to length. Deburring of piece part sharp edges and corners. The use of basic hand tools; drills, grinders, cut-off wheels, etc. Transport product to and from vendors for painting, plating or coating. Move prepped materials to proper location (fabrication, machining or assembly). Package, skid or crate finished products when requested. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Requirements Valid drivers license. The ability to work in a group environment. Required to be a self-starter, able to work well without close direction. Must be able to read and interpret blue prints. Protective clothing required: safety glasses w/side shields and steel toed shoes. To communicate honestly, openly and effectively.
