Intermediate Test Technician(2nd shift 230pm-1200am)
Mercury Systems is seeking a skilled, mid-level test technician to help complete a variety of tasks related to testing complex PCB units. To be successful, you will need to demonstrate problem-solving abilities on moderate to complex issues on digital systems using a variety of testing tools, including flying probes, environmental testing, meters, analyzers, and various software. This is a second-shift position: 2:30 pm - 12:00 am.Targeted hire date July 6thJob ResponsibilitiesApply electronics principles in the test and troubleshooting of high-density multi-system (multiple CPU/FPGA) assemblies, to the component levelPerform electrical testing of multiple PCB assemblies via Takaya Flying Probe equipmentSelection, set up, and deployment of test equipment and programming necessary for flying probe testingEnsure that test processes and equipment are configured correctly for each test.Measure, collect, and record all performance dataTroubleshooting of systems, devices, processes, and/or test set-ups to locate and repair defective areasSubmission of defects reporting, non-conforming materials reports, and communication with the production team in the resolution of defects/product failuresAny other task assigned by the supervisorRequired QualificationsRequired experience 2-3 years of experience in testing Printed Circuit Boards in a manufacturing environmentExperience performing complex testing and moderate problem-solving on digital systems and subassemblies on Flying Probe equipment. Ability to prepare complex test reports and data in accordance with functional and acceptance level test proceduresUnderstanding of electrical theory and principles such as Ohm's law and circuit analysisMust be able to work 2nd shift hours: 2:30 pm - 12:00 amPreferred QualificationsExcellent Teamwork and Communications SkillsAbility to read and interpret complex schematicsMicrosoft Office, Oracle, FactoryLogix/Aegis, terminal emulator applications, Siemens Valor suite, and Test Expert/Takaya working knowledge preferredHas an understanding of manufacturing quality standards and can read schematics or other technical data as neededHas prepared complex test reportsPerform complex testing: Thermal, Shock, Vibration, and Environmental TestsExperience in troubleshooting and determining the root cause of issuesUse of test equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, serial emulators, networking devices, and other tools found in a testing laboratory This position requires you to access information that is subject to U.S. export regulations.
