Senior Software Integration EngineerLocation: Carrollton, TX (100% Onsite)Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (6-Month Conversion Timeline)Travel: Up to 25% (U.S. and Canada, with potential international travel)Work Authorization: U.S. Citizenship Required due to government contract requirements.About the OpportunityWe are seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Integration Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team focused on deploying and maintaining advanced security solutions that protect critical infrastructure. This role is ideal for a self-driven technical professional who enjoys solving complex system integration challenges, working directly with customers, and owning projects from requirements gathering through deployment and commissioning.As a key member of multidisciplinary project teams, you will help deliver large-scale security system integrations that support critical environments. Projects typically span 18 months to 2 years, allowing engineers to remain engaged throughout the full project lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:Support the complete project lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.Work closely with Project Engineering Leads and cross-functional teams including software integration, cybersecurity, hardware, testing, documentation, and project management.Configure and deploy software applications, databases, networking components, and integrated system solutions.Develop, configure, and maintain SQL databases used within integrated security systems.Perform software builds and deployments using Visual Studio and related tools.Participate in software design reviews and contribute technical documentation.Conduct system integration activities, troubleshooting, testing, validation, and release management.Collaborate directly with customers to gather requirements, configure systems, and resolve technical issues.Support on-site installation, commissioning, and customer acceptance activities.Follow established engineering processes including requirements management, change control, configuration management, and technical reviews.Provide technical support during warranty periods as needed.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.7+ years of relevant experience in systems integration, software integration, or related engineering disciplines.Strong candidates with 5-6 years of directly relevant experience may also be considered.Experience supporting the software/system development lifecycle (SDLC).Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.Experience with Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft 365 environments.Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and system architectures.Experience using Visual Studio for software builds and deployment activities.Ability to read and interpret code for troubleshooting and debugging purposes.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Experience working within structured engineering environments utilizing requirements management and configuration control processes.Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with customers and stakeholders.Ability to work independently with limited documentation and adapt to changing project needs.U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contract requirements.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with real-time process control systems.Familiarity with:C#C/C++Visual StudioGitCrystal ReportsExperience with:Active DirectoryNetwork infrastructure devicesVideo surveillance systemsKnowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and software configuration management practices.Previous experience supporting critical infrastructure, industrial, physical security, or large-scale systems integration projects.Work Environment:Based in Carrollton, TX.100% onsite when not traveling.Flexible work schedule with core daytime hours.Collaborative team environment consisting of software integration, cybersecurity, hardware, testing, documentation, and project management professionals.Opportunity to work with multiple long-term projects simultaneously.Compensation & Benefits Upon Conversion:Pay Rate: $50 to $62 Hourly Target salary range: $105,000 to $130,000Potential flexibility up to $135,000 for exceptional candidatesMedical, dental, and vision benefits401(k)Flexible vacation policyAdditional company benefits available upon full-time conversionInterview Process:Virtual interview with the Hiring ManagerOnsite panel interview at the Carrollton facilityFinal discussion with HR and/or senior leadershipIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys hands-on system integration work, thrives in customer-facing environments, and can navigate complex technical challenges with minimal supervision.
