As an Import Compliance Analyst, you would assist the with various import/export related regulatory compliance programs for DHLE USA. The Compliance Business Analyst would be directly involved with internal gateway and service center audits; investigating potential import and export violations; assist in creating weekly and monthly compliance metrics; and performing tasks to ensure DHLE USA is following various trade regulations. Additionally, you will be key in auditing and ensuring compliance under the Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection, and Other Government Agencies (OGA's) regarding In-bond shipment and entry compliance and penalty avoidance.Key Responsibilities:Must possess the ability to perform detailed research in multiple internal IT systems, the internet, and hard copy filesProcessing confidential documents and informationData entry into DHL Express proprietary systemsMay assist with metrics and research projectsAssist with various other team projects as assignedConduct, participate, and evaluate various audits of the businessPossibly pulling reports from Government databases regarding in-bond shipmentsEnsuring timely closure of in-bonds with both internal and external stakeholdersEnsure compliance and accuracy of data within internal systems regarding Customs entriesAudit the accuracy and ensure the compliance of HTSUS within DHL systemProvide feedback on descriptions within DHL systems via the audit processPerform other duties as assignedSkills & Qualifications:Experience & Technical KnowledgeMinimum of 2 years' experience in customs entry processing, import compliance, or customs operations.Strong working knowledge of HTSUS classification, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, and Partner Government Agency (PGA) requirementsPractical understanding of U.S. import processes and regulatory frameworksExperience with customs audits and working knowledge of 19 CFR; Customs Compliance Specialist (CCS) certification is a plus.Analytical & Compliance Skills* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail* Ability to interpret regulations and apply them accurately in a compliance‐driven environmentCommunication & Stakeholder Interaction* Well‐developed oral and written communication skills* Ability to effectively communicate with U.S. Government officials, external auditors, and internal stakeholdersTechnology & Organization* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook* Highly organized with the ability to maintain accurate and compliant filing systemsWork Style & Professional Competencies* Ability to work independently with limited supervision* Comfortable operating in a fast‐paced, high‐pressure environment while meeting deadlines.Employee Benefits & IncentivesDHL benefits and incentive offerings are designed to reflect a substantial experience for both employees and their dependents during their career and life journey.
