Website Designer - Amazon Team (Contract)

This is a 6 month contract opportunity with weekly in office expectations at our NYC office.POSITION DESCRIPTION: Design and execute web-ready creative for online marketplaces.RESPONSIBILITIES: Design elevated and brand-right creative that achieves both marketing and merchant objectivesSource images in support of online creativeEnsure deadlines for assigned projects are metProduce, optimize and output final Web-ready digital artworkManage and uploading assets to marketplacesPartner with both merchant and planning teams to provide creative solutions to react to shifting business needsCollaborate closely with merchants to market and translate merchandising strategies into compelling, brand-right creativeMaintain absolute accuracy and attention to detail throughout the creative and production processQUALIFICATIONS: Sophisticated sense of design/styleStrong design fundamentals (type, image, color)Ability to translate complex design challenges into clear, customer-friendly experiencesWorking understanding of Web best practicesDiscerning eye for photo editing, cropping, and compositingCollaborative, inclusive and flexible team memberIndependent self-starter who gets things doneAbility to manage projects from initial design through to final deliveryHighly organized with extreme attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills requiredAwareness of brand landscape, understanding of our demographic and marketFamiliarity with Amazon a plusEXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree preferredProven talent in graphic and interactive designComplete mastery of advanced Photoshop, with strong photo compositing skillsRetail/fashion design experience a plusWorking knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Figma a plusMotion graphics & video editing experience for web (After Effects & Final Cut Pro) a pluse-commerce experience idealAmazon experience a plusESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Ability to use a MacMust have advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Mainly – Photoshop, XD, Illustrator)We will consider for employment all qualified applicants, including those with arrest records, conviction records, or other criminal histories, in a manner consistent with the requirements of any applicable state and local laws.
