Job Title: Logistics OperatorLocation: Cerritos, CA 90703Contract: 1 YearSchedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PMPosition OverviewWe are seeking a Logistics Operator to support import operations, global logistics, freight coordination, fulfilment, and distribution activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in freight forwarding or logistics, particularly ocean import operations, and possess strong analytical, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate ocean, air, and trucking freight with carriers and third-party logistics providers.Support import operations, global logistics, and Customs Compliance activities.Manage and support fulfilment and distribution operations.Maintain and update SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and Work Instructions.Ensure operational best practices align with customer requirements and established SOPs.Build and maintain relationships with carriers, vendors, customers, and internal team members.Identify and help resolve freight and logistics issues in a timely manner.Provide strong customer support and demonstrate effective negotiation skills.Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.Evaluate logistics processes and recommend improvements to increase operational efficiency.Support long-term business growth through effective logistics and process management.Required Qualifications1–2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, data management, or a related field.Experience in ocean import operations or freight forwarding is preferred.Background in import operations, global logistics, and Customs Compliance.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to learn logistics operations quickly.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Strong customer service orientation and negotiation skills.Ability to work effectively under pressure with a strong sense of urgency.Strong work ethic and attention to detail.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.Ability to travel up to 10%.Bachelor's degree preferred.Bilingual in Vietnamese or Chinese preferred.Preferred SkillsOcean ImportFreight ForwardingGlobal LogisticsCustoms ComplianceTransportation CoordinationCarrier & Vendor ManagementThird-Party Logistics (3PL)Fulfillment & DistributionLogistics OperationsSOP / Work Instruction ManagementKPI & Data AnalysisProcess ImprovementCustomer ServiceNegotiationMicrosoft ExcelVietnamese or Chinese language skills
