Your Role as a Welder The Welder is responsible for performing welding tasks to manufacture, repair, and maintain metal structures, racks and products according to specifications. This role requires skilled craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. Welders will use various welding techniques and tools to ensure high-quality results that meet industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform Welding Operations: Execute welding tasks including MIG and other welding methods or grinding on various metals as per project requirements. Interpret Technical Documents: Read and understand blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding methods, materials, and tools needed. Quality Control: Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards, making adjustments as necessary to meet project specifications. Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols, including wearing protective gear and maintaining clean workspaces to reduce potential hazards. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on welding equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Collaborate with Team: Work closely with other team members to coordinate welding tasks and ensure timely project completion. Qualifications: Proven experience as a welder, with proficiency in multiple welding techniques Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment Physical ability to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Relevant welding certification(s) is a plus Requirements: Forklift Certification Must be able to lift 50lbs Must be able to wear PPE requirements.
