Human Resources Junior Generalist

The Stamford headquarters of a hotel chain is looking for a Junior HR Generalist to add to their small HR team. The right candidate should have 2–5 years of experience in HR, be used to doing administrative tasks and be comfortable constinuing with those tasks as part of their next role.Responsibilities:Provide all administrative support to the HR function;Handle workers compensation filings;Work with the Payroll provider to streamline offerings;Assist with onboarding/offboarding employees;Organize outings for employees;Assist in editing of policies, procedures, job descriptions and the employee handbook;Maintain knowlege of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in HR, talent management and employment law;Assist with employee surveys and analyze results;Assess the pulse/vibe of the office/employees to make sure morale is positive.Qualifications:4 year college degree (preferably in human resources or a related field (psychologly, busines)MBA in Human Resources is a plusBetween 1-4 years of relevant experience, but no more than 5 yearsFlexible - able to pivot at a moment's noticeComfortable working in a less structured environmentExperience with administrative tasks (approving timesheets, entering payroll information, answering benefits questions, etc.)
