Our organization, a leading integrated health system in New Jersey, is actively looking for Physician Advisors for part-time roles at Jersey City Medical Center (JCMC) located in Jersey City, NJ. The Physician Advisor will collaborate closely with both local and corporate administration, the medical team, and the leadership of the case management department. This collaboration aims to deliver a thorough clinical resource management program that encompasses utilization management, care progression management, social work services, and intricate discharge planning.Key Responsibilities:Developing and upholding a standardized approach for Physician Advisor Services, which includes:Throughput/Length of Stay managementObservation Hours oversightPlanning for Next Site of CareFacilitating multidisciplinary roundsEngaging in the evaluation and formulation of medical guidelines and policies aimed at enhancing the quality and efficiency of care.Performance Metrics:Achieving established Length of Stay targets, including:Medicare LOS aligned with Geometric/Arithmetic BenchmarksCommercial LOS standardsMeeting organizational objectives for Observation HoursAccomplishing goals related to Next Site of Care planningQualifications:Board Certified/Board Eligible with a valid NJ medical licenseMinimum of 2 years of clinical practice experiencePrior experience in Utilization Management within an acute care environmentDemonstrated leadership experience is essentialCHCQM certification requiredFamiliarity with CMS Regulations and Nationally Accepted Guidelines such as MCG and InterQualExceptional communication and interpersonal abilitiesStrong computer proficiencyExcellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectivelyBenefits:Comprehensive Medical/Dental/Vision plans401(k) retirement planPaid Time Off (PTO)Short and Long Term Disability coverageBasic Life and Accidental Death InsuranceTuition Reimbursement opportunitiesCompensation:The expected salary range for this position is between $125,000 and $135,000 annually.The final compensation offered will be influenced by various factors, including the candidate's educational qualifications, skills, and relevant professional experience.Additional Information:Our organization represents the most extensive healthcare delivery system in New Jersey, serving a population of five million.
