Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IBM CICS Systems Programmer to install, configure, maintain, monitor, and support enterprise CICS environments on IBM z/OS mainframes. The role involves performance tuning, troubleshooting, security administration, upgrades, disaster recovery, and production support for mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- CICS Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain CICS regions
- Perform CICS upgrades, migrations, and maintenance
- Define and manage CICS resources using CEDA/CSDSupport CICSPlex environments
- System Monitoring & Performance
- Monitor region health and transaction performance
- Analyze SMF/RMF reports
- Tune CICS parameters for optimal performance
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks
- Problem Determination
- Troubleshoot CICS abends and region failures
- Analyze dumps, traces, logs, and system messages
- Coordinate with application and infrastructure teams
- Provide root-cause analysis for incidents
