Java Application Developer

Overview: We are seeking a Mid to Senior-Level Java Application Developer to work with one of our oldest clients in the St. Louis area. The company, based in Maryland Heights, specializes in Arcade-center gaming... more specifically the "player card" technology where you can load credits/play hours on to a swipe card to use on various games (think Dave and Busters or "The Main Event" in Chesterfield). The kiosk transactional server that people load money on to their player cards utilizes a Java application, and this Java Application Developer will help maintain and provide development in this crucial area of the business. Duties: - Maintain and develop web applications using Java and relevant frameworks. - Implement responsive web design to ensure seamless user experience across different devices and browsers. - Develop RESTful APIs and integrate them with existing systems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize features based on user flows and requirements. - Use SQL or other relational databases to store and manage data. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field ( 7+ years in professional programming/development role with no degree is acceptable) - Proficiency in Java programming language. - Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems. - Strong understanding of user flows and requirements gathering. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Excellent problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Experience with responsive web design and RESTful APIs.
