Our headquarters is in Donaueschingen, Germany, and our Gainesville, GA site is growing.Quick facts about the roleRole: Precision Metalworking Changeover & Maintenance TechnicianReports to: Manufacturing ManagerType: Full-timeLocation: On-site, Gainesville, GAShift: 2nd shift, 2:55pm–11:05pmWhat will you do each shift?Start up and verify production with first-piece approval.Execute rapid, accurate changeovers; set, change, and offset tools.Operate CNC machines and complete limited program/parameter adjustments.Troubleshoot CNC and auxiliary equipment; perform minor repairs.Handle and inspect materials to specification; record results in the quality system.Log production data accurately and on time.Apply IATF 16949 quality requirements and follow IQI procedures.Maintain FIFO, uphold safety rules and policies, and sustain 5S housekeeping.Team with colleagues on complex tasks and elevate issues to your manager when needed.Perform other assigned duties that keep output on target.What do you need to bring?Vocational/certificate training preferred.High-volume manufacturing experience: at least 1 year; 2+ years preferred.Ability to read and follow work instructions with precision.Strong teamwork, communication, organization, and attention to detail.Foundational CNC setup/operation/maintenance knowledge.Comfort with metric units and basic metrology tools (preferred).Exposure to quality systems (preferred) and moderate computer skills.Basic G-code literacy (preferred).What is the physical nature of the work?Lift/carry up to 50 lbs; heavier lifts assisted by crane.Push/pull up to 80 lbs with material handling equipment.Continuous standing and walking; frequent bending and reaching (outward and overhead).Occasional climbing, crawling, squatting, kneeling, working at heights, and in tight spaces.What is in it for you?401(k) with a company match.Medical, dental, and vision insurance.Company-paid life insurance.Company-paid short- and long-term disability insurance.15 days of PTO plus 10 paid holidays.Equal OpportunityIMS Gear is an equal opportunity employercommitted to diversity and inclusion.
