Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products. Plans the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. May be responsible for setting the parameters and testing of production products.Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesSoftware DevelopmentDesign, develop, and maintain applications using C# and the .NET frameworkDevelop reusable software components, libraries, and frameworks supporting ATE test developmentImplement graphical user interfaces (GUIs), data collection tools, and automation utilitiesCreate software solutions that interface with ATE hardware, instrumentation, and manufacturing systemsPerform software debugging, optimization, and performance tuningTest System DevelopmentSupport development and deployment of semiconductor production and characterization test solutionsIntegrate software with ATE platforms, instruments, and hardware controllersDevelop automated test execution and data acquisition applicationsSupport test program releases and production deploymentsData Analysis & ReportingDevelop tools for collecting, analyzing, and visualizing test dataCreate automated reporting solutions for yield, performance, and test metricsSupport manufacturing data analysis and root-cause investigationsQuality & VerificationDevelop unit tests and automated verification methods for new CMOS ASIC productsParticipate in software design reviews and code reviewsEnsure compliance with software development processes and configuration management practicesDocument software requirements, architecture, design, and test resultsCross-Function CollaborationWork with the Teledyne FLIR design team, Manufacturing teams, and customers to formulate test requirementsSupport failure analysis and production troubleshooting activitiesSame as “Support manufacturing data analysis and root-cause investigations”Prepare Teledyne FLIR characterization and wafer probe test stationsPerform required characterization and production probe testsSupport and on occasion conduct performance testing to ensure the product meets performance requirements under various conditionsParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives for test efficiency, repeatability, and automationAssist the design team in understanding and correcting any design deficiencies found during testingAssist other engineers in the performance of related dutiesMake sure equipment is configured correctly and debugged before initial hardware arrivesVerification of new ICs and/or FPAs performanceJob QualificationsRequired QualificationsAttention to Detail required assuring that tests are fully documented in compliance with Teledyne FLIR’s quality systemAnalytical Problem Solving required to assist the design team in understanding and correcting design deficienciesCollaboration & Teamwork to effectively communicate with design team and customersAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong Communication Skills – Oral, Listening & Written to effectively communicate and document test results and formulate test requirementsInnovation: Must have the re-prioritization as indicated.MUST BE U.S. PERSONEducationBachelor's degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or some other related technical fieldRelevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.Experience3+ years of software development experience.Experience developing applications using C# and .NET.Experience with object-oriented design principles.Technical SkillsProficiency in:C#.NET Framework / .NETVisual StudioDatabase technologies (SQL Server or similar)Understanding of software architecture and design range listed for this role is only an estimate.
