Field Engineer (Construction Surveyor)📍 Raynham, MAA long‑established metals fabrication firm located south of Boston is seeking a Field Engineer (Construction Surveyor) to join its growing team. With more than 50 years of experience, the firm is recognized for precision, craftsmanship, and innovation, contributing to many notable New England projects, including stadiums, memorials, and major university facilities.About the RoleThe Field Engineer plays a critical role in capturing highly accurate field measurements that directly support the fabrication and installation of custom steel components. This individual will work on active construction sites and within buildings to obtain measurements and produce detailed sketches and as‑built documentation used by the firm's detailing team.ResponsibilitiesPerform field measurements as a survey crew chief (3-5 years preferred), including construction layout and as‑builts.Operate Leica Robotic Total Stations with proficiency.Use levels, line lasers, tape measures, and hand tools to collect precise measurements.Produce accurate as‑built sketches and drawings (AutoCAD or hand‑drawn) for detailers.Communicate effectively with project managers, detailers, and field personnel.Apply strong analytical thinking and attention to detail to ensure accuracy across all field measurements.Preferred QualificationsExperience in heavy construction or steel‑related work (preferred but not required).AutoCAD experience (preferred).Experience with Leica BLK360 3D Scanner is a plus.Familiarity with Carlson Software and data collectors.BenefitsFull‑time position with long‑term stabilityHealth insurance401(k) with company matchPaid vacation and sick timeCompany vehicle providedOpportunity to work on high‑profile construction projects across New England Desired Skills and ExperienceField Engineer (Construction Surveyor)📍 Raynham, MAA long‑established metals fabrication firm located south of Boston is seeking a Field Engineer (Construction Surveyor) to join its growing team.
