Machine Learning Network Software EngineerOur client is seeking a high-level Machine Learning Network Software Engineer to strategically design and replicate ML network infrastructures that support translational research and enterprise operations. This role is central to analyzing the parent organization's existing ML networks and building a comparable, scalable ML network for a separate business unit, ensuring a seamless technology transition and reliable integration. The ideal candidate combines advanced expertise in machine learning, network engineering, and software development with experience in healthcare and life sciences data ecosystems.This consultant will evaluate the existing ML ecosystem, identify dependencies, and architect a scalable, secure, and compliant ML platform for the new business unit. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in machine learning infrastructure, cloud networking, MLOps, and large-scale enterprise transformation initiatives.Hybrid: Onsite 2 days/weekLocation Options: Raynham, MA; West Chester, PA; Palm Beach Gardens, FL; Warsaw, INContract: Long term contract up to 2+ yearsRate: $80-$100/hr (C2C, 1099, W2 w/benefits)Key ResponsibilitiesAssess and document the parent organization's current ML platforms, network architecture, data pipelines, and operational processesDevelop a migration strategy and future-state architecture for a standalone ML environment for the new business unitDesign and implement ML infrastructure, MLOps pipelines, networking, and cloud-based platformsLead separation and migration activities, including dependency mapping, risk mitigation, and cutover planningEstablish governance, security, monitoring, and compliance frameworks aligned with healthcare and medical device regulationsCollaborate with Data Science, Infrastructure, Security, Enterprise Architecture, and business stakeholders globallyRequired Qualifications10+ years of software engineering, infrastructure engineering, or enterprise architecture experience5+ years designing and supporting enterprise ML platforms and MLOps environmentsProven experience leading technology carve-outs, mergers, or large-scale platform migrationsExpertise with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP), Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as CodeStrong programming skills in Python and experience with distributed data and ML systemsExcellent stakeholder management and executive communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience in healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or medical devicesKnowledge of ML platforms such as Databricks, Azure ML, SageMaker, Kubeflow, or MLflowFamiliarity with FDA, HIPAA, GDPR, and regulated environment requirementsDeliverablesCurrent-state assessment of the parent organization's ML ecosystemFuture-state architecture and transition roadmapStandalone ML network and platform environment for the new business unitSuccessful migration of critical ML workloads and operational processesSecurity, governance, and support framework enabling long-term scalability and independenceImpellam Group and its brands are equal-opportunity employers committed to diversity and inclusion.
