Job Summary The Accounting Manager supports the Corporate Controller in executing general accounting and financial reporting for the Modesto facility. This role is responsible for maintaining an accurate and fully reconciled general ledger, ensuring a timely and disciplined month‐end close, and upholding strong financial controls and data integrity.Key Responsibilities 1. Month‐End Close & General AccountingLead execution of the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliationsEnsure accuracy and timeliness of financial results in accordance with corporate deadlinesPrepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations with appropriate supporting documentationSupport financial reporting and variance analysis versus budget and prior yearAdminister corporate credit card program, including user access, policy compliance, and reconciliation2. Fixed Assets & Capital AccountingTrack capital projects and ensure proper capitalization in accordance with GAAPMaintain fixed asset subledger and depreciation schedulesSupport capital spend tracking and reconciliation to approved budgets3. Compliance, Controls & AuditEnsure compliance with corporate accounting policies and regulatory requirementsPrepare and file recurring government reports, including sales and use tax and property tax filingsExecute internal controls and maintain supporting documentationSupport internal and external audit processes, including documentation and testing4. Systems & Process ImprovementSupport SAP and related financial systems to ensure data accuracy and consistencyIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen controls5. Cross‐Functional & Transactional SupportCollaborate with accounting and cross‐functional teams to support accurate and timely financial operationsProvide support across accounts receivable and accounts payable processes as neededAssist in monitoring receivables and addressing issues impacting collections, cash flow, or transactional accuracyPartner cross‐functionally to resolve operational or customer‐related issues impacting financial resultsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reportingExperience with ERP systems required; SAP Public Cloud experience strongly preferredAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint)Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem‐solving capabilities, and effective communication skills; demonstrated ability to maintain fully supported account reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and collaborate across cross‐functional teamsCrystal Creamery is an Equal Employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
