Maintenance Technician-1st Shift

Responsibilities:Maintain proper functioning integrity of all relevant machinery, equipment, buildings, and grounds of the company, including but not limited to carpentry, welding, fittings, lawn care, snow/ice removal or treatment, walls, windows, doors, floors, electrical, air conditioning, plumbing, heating, and preventative maintenance as required by company procedures and/or policies. Job Duties · Preparing and set-up of new machinery as required · Repairing or replacing defective equipment or parts. · Performing preventive measures for safeguarding all machinery against any kind of degradation on and as needed basis · Inspection, operation, and recording of maintenance work and their costs · Obtaining quotes or initial work, replacements parts, and / or repairs as required · Cleaning and lubricating parts and / or machines as needed · Maintaining overall cleanliness and proper functioning of the tool crib and maintenance areas as well as tools and other materials used · Paint and repair physical building(s) as required and / or needed · Using forklift, hand-lift, or other hoist equipment · Using hand tools, electrical saws, drills, grinders, hydraulic, or pneumatic powered tools safely based on IOSHA and standard industry guidelines · Reporting all equipment failures, machine guarding issues and /or other safety issues to CEO, and / or Operations Director, or others that need to know as needed · Loading or unloading materials manually off or onto pallets, platforms, skids, or lifting devices · Consulting, working, and coordinating with supervisors, managers, equipment manufacturers, and employees as required · Performing other duties as assigned · Maintaining correct storage procedures and labeling for hazardous equipment, tools, gas, welding, compressed air tanks, and other materials as required Qualifications · Excellent teamwork, safety knowledge, and overall facilities and industrial maintenance skills · Exceptional knowledge of IOSHA standards and regulations · Ability to successfully communicate with vendors, out-side contractors, suppliers, and employees · Ability to operate in high speed and fast-paced environment · Good physical health, energetic, and good work ethic · Ability to consistently lift, move, pull, or push up to 50 pounds · Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Special Circumstances · Must be available to work flexible hours and on-call hours as required · Must be able to work independently as well as interact skillfully with delivery persons, customers, outside contractors, employees, and suppliers · Must have the ability to work in all kinds of weather conditions including extreme heat and cold Essential Physical Requirements · While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear · This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day · The employee must frequently lift and/or move items that are approximately 20-50 pounds · Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
