Fertigation Supervisor Job Description IDENTIFYING INFORMATION STATUS: Salary PAY RATE: $55,000REPORTS TO: Director of Cultivation / Plant Health SupervisorDIRECT REPORTS: Fertigation Team Members GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Fertigation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the fertigation process for the facility. This role involves ensuring that the plants receive the proper nutrients and water through automated fertigation system. The Fertigation Supervisor will work closely with the Director of Cultivation and Plant Health Supervisor to optimize plant health, growth, and yield while maintaining company standards and state requirements.III. Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):Meets daily with the Garden Health Manager/Director of Cultivation to review production schedules and team assignments.Manage daily operations and employees in specific Cultivation areas (Fertigation).Address employees' concerns, issues, and/or grievances and provide amicable solutions to all parties following company policies and procedures.Hold weekly meetings with the team, keeping them informed on any changes or updates to the Dept.Ensure that production operations and systems are being run in accordance with documented procedures.Supervises Team Members in a manner that fosters a safe work environment and self-directed team approach.Mentor, train, and motivate the team by encouraging and promoting employee morale.Ensure that the communication of company and departmental goals and improvements is being conducted.Measure, collect, analyze, maintain, and report on all production metrics and key performance indicators.Maintain Leads/Team Members' time and attendance.Completing Lead/Team Member monthly performance reviewsAid in hiring new Team members by completing interviews and scrubbing resumes.Assist with the creation & revision of SOP'sAttend all scheduled meetings on time and prepared.Sign-offs on Technician Guides for related departments.Oversees the regular sanitation of all related tools in accordance with SOP's.Fertigation System Management:Oversee the operation and maintenance of our fertigation system the Rhythm.Monitor and adjust nutrient formulations, pH levels, and EC (electrical conductivity) to ensure the best plant health.Schedule and execute fertigation cycles based on the growth stage of the plants.Perform regular checks and calibrations of fertigation equipment to ensure accuracy and efficiency.Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with fertigation equipment or processes.Nutrient and Water Management:Develop and implement nutrient feeding schedules tailored to different stages of the cannabis growth cycle, and crop steering methods.Monitor the consistent delivery of feeds to plants, avoiding under or over-feeding.Maintain accurate records of nutrient usage, formulations, and plant responses.Checking to make sure all saturation levels are being hit properly throughout the cultivation process.Plant Health and Growth Optimization:Work with the Cultivation Director and Plant Health Supervisor to assess plant health and adjust fertigation practices as needed.Preform regular scouting of plants to identify signs of nutrient deficiencies, toxicities, or other issues.Compliance and Reporting:Ensure all fertigation practices comply with regulations.Maintain detailed logs and records for compliance audits and internal reviews.Prepare reports on fertigation performance, including nutrient usage, system efficiency, and plant growth metrics.Make sure that all records of nutrients and additives are logged into METRC properly. 6 MONTH GOALSMaintain Team Schedules in Deputy SystemMonthly Reviews of Team MemberFind Optimal Nutrient ranges using ArvumUse Aroya system to optimize crop steering Job Requirements2-4 Years Cultivation/Fertigation Experience2-3 Years of Leadership/Management ExperienceKnowledge of Rhythm and Growlink/Anderson Aqua Fertigation systemsMETRC trainedEmployee's Acknowledgment And AcceptanceThis job description seeks to provide clarity and focus to the general role.
