A full rewrite is recommended before applying.Job DescriptionOverview Full Stack Web Developer with 3+ years of experience with Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline proficiency who will architect, develop, and maintain mission-critical systems while providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members. You will work within a SAFe/Agile environment to deliver high-quality software solutions for a Department of Defense (DoD) program at Naval Base Point Mugu near Camarillo, CA. This role combines technical excellence with mentoring responsibilities. Salary The typical annual salary range for this position is $115,000.00 USD to $150,000.00 USD. Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range. Responsibilities Functional Description: Product Analysis and Design Provide support for the analysis, recommendation, design and prototype of future software, system components, and digital products and data systems for use with current and emerging technologies Technical Documentation Provide technical documentation support for the development and management of technical documentation. Product / Software Development Support Develop complex microservices-based systems using Java Spring Boot, ensuring scalability and fault toleranceWrite high-performance, production-ready code in Java, and TypeScript that meets security and performance requirementsDevelop responsive front-end applications using ReactJS/Redux, NPM, and Material UI with a focus on performance and reusabilityImplement RESTful web services and APIs following industry best practices and Governance for authentication, error handling, and documentationUtilize WebSockets for real-time communication in collaborative applications and dashboardsConfigure and manage message queuing systems like RabbitMQ (AMQP) for asynchronous processing and system integrationLeverage Java ORM frameworks such as JPA and Hibernate for efficient database operations and entity managementImplement automated testing including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure system qualityManage version control workflows in Git, implementing branching strategies and ensuring proper code managementTroubleshoot complex Kubernetes deployment issues across the full stack, from front-end to databasePerform code reviews on Pull Requests and technical mentoring for junior developers, focusing on best practices and clean code principlesCreate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation in Confluence for system architecture and code standardsManage project tasking and user stories in JIRA, maintaining transparency on progress and impedimentsParticipate in our Agile ceremonies including the SAFe Program Increment planning meetings to align team objectives with organizational goalsContribute to architectural decision records documenting system design choices and technical direction Travel: Approximately 10 weeks of travel could be required (San Diego Ca, Norfolk Va, Pax River Md, Melbourne Fl, Japan, and France). Qualifications Between 3 to 10 years of experience performing the duties described in the functional description3+ years of experience in software development with emphasis on full-stack solutions3+ years' experience with CI/CD pipelines in an agile DevOps environment3+ years' experience with .net, C#, JavaScript, containers, and microservices architecture3+ years' experience with SQL and database design2+ years' experience with HTML and CSS2+ years' experience with Git version controlDemonstrated experience with Docker and KubernetesProficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket or equivalent toolsExperience working in Agile environments and as a Scrum team memberExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for all levels of interactionAbility to work independently and take initiativeWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) Desired experience:Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)AMQP (RabbitMQ) implementation experienceAdvanced Java ORM experience (Hibernate)Spring Boot or Java EE development expertiseRESTful web services design and implementationSingle Page Application (SPA) development with ReactJS/ReduxWebSockets implementation for real-time applications EDUCATION Degree: BS or BA degree in a Computer or Information Science field or a relevant technical discipline Allowable Substitution: An additional 6 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, or 4 additional years of work experience with a relevant associate degree CLEARANCE Top Secret Security Clearance Condition of Employment: Applicant must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
