System Security Engineer

BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.Expected Duration: 6 Months, with Possible extensionJob Type: CONTRACT Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Security System Engineer to join our team on a hybrid schedule, 2–3 days per week in office. The ideal candidate will have experience in systems security for aerospace, defence, or embedded systems and a proven ability to apply secure, cyber-resilient engineering practices across the product lifecycle.Responsibilities:Partner with core systems security and Liberty Works teams to define technology and processes that meet system security and resiliency requirements.Learn and apply secure cyber resilient engineering (SCRE) methods across requirements, design, build, test, production, operations, and support.Collaborate with government, customers, suppliers, and industry experts to interpret and satisfy system requirements.Create digital models and use model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and related digital tools to meet program expectations.Develop and update systems security and resilience good practices, including techniques, policies, and procedures, and enable adoption across the business.Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 1+ years of experience, or master’s degree in STEM, or PhD in STEM.Engineering degree required. A Computer Science degree may be considered.At least 3 years of experience, ideally in aerospace, defense, or embedded systems.Active security clearance or the ability to reactivate or renew an existing clearance.
