Quick Lube/Apprentice Technician - Gillman Subaru Southwest (59 south @ Beltway 8) Part-time & Full time positions available. Must work every Saturday Shifts avaiable 6AM-12pm or 12PM-6PM and every Saturday 8AM-5PM. We work around college/trade school schedules.The Compensation:Competitive compensation $13.00-$15.00/HRPaid TrainingA great working environment where you'll be supported by a team of professionalsMedical, Dental, Life & Vision Insurance401K Retirement Savings Plan with a company matchPaid vacationDiscounts on vehicle purchasesAdvancement opportunities for high performersThe Responsibilities and Requirements:Performing multipoint inspections and communicate additional service/repair needs to service advisorsServicing universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using grease gunsInspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings, and shacklesChecking tire pressure, adding water to radiators, and replacing oil and air filtersLubricating moving parts with specified lubricantsDraining oil from crankcases and refilling with oilInspecting all vehicles for additional repairsMust be able to work in the US and pass pre-employment screening to include MVR (must be insurable), drug screen, and criminal background checkThe capability to read/comprehend written instructions and informationFamiliarity with all aspects of automotive repair/maintenanceA valid driver's license and be able to operate manual transmissionsPrior experience as a technician's helper or apprentice would be highly desirableEffective communication and interpersonal skillsThe capacity to stand, stoop, bend and lift to 50 poundsWork in the seated position for extended periods while operating controls with arms and legs.The capability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environmentAboutSince 1938, The Gillman Companies have been a family-owned and operated group of automobile dealerships.
