Account Supervisor also manage account teams to maximize each team member’s performance while driving accountability and fostering respect and collaboration.ResponsibilitiesDrive effective implementation of multiple client PR programsManage account teams and programs to deliver high quality results on-time and on-budgetDevelop and oversee the account teams in writing press materials, client correspondence, traditional and social media strategy and outreach, client reports, etc. Anticipate issuesDelegate and assign work among team membersMake recommendations for ways to meet client needsServe as a representative of the client and agency on-site at client eventsManage account financials: develop and manage budgets, fee estimates, out-of-pocket expenses, team hour allocations, billing, invoicing, etc. Regularly monitor to ensure execution is staying on-budget and is profitable; regularly report budget status to agency managementProvide analysis to clients of program resultsDevelop strategic, creative ideas and tactical elements for client programsServe as primary client contact and build/maintain strong relationships with key client personnelAccommodate and anticipate client needs; make recommendations to clientsRespond to requests for information from clients in a timely mannerLead client calls, meetings, and presentations to the client; participate in client brainstorms; attend client eventsUse metrics and analytics to provide insights and counsel to clients pertaining to programs and proposalsRecognize and seek opportunities to grow client accountsMaintain relationships with key contacts at traditional and social media outlets; leverage those relationships to obtain desired media coverage on behalf of the agency and/or clientsCompile presentations for new business and business renewal proposals; participate in new business and/or business renewal pitchesParticipate in agency brainstorm sessions for client programsServe as a senior leader on agency committees, as designated/asked; participate in and drive agency initiatives, visibility efforts and staff developmentDemonstrate an interest in the long-range health of the agencyRepresent the agency in professional associations; develop new professional contacts through participation in outside organizationsAbility to:Understand the clients’ business and relevant industry trends and use the information to develop strategic PR programsManage multiple accounts and projectsTrain and mentor junior and mid-level staffEffectively delegate work among account teamsTravel to client and event locations; meet with clients at their office locations/headquartersDemonstrate strong writing, editing, presentation and interpersonal communications skillsShow integrity and good judgment when working with colleagues and clientsDeal constructively with client and personnel situationsPosition Expectations/Success Factors:Investment in client programsBuilding and fostering strong relationships with client contactsRespect and collaboration on the account team; develop and retain talent by providing informal/formal feedback and coachingQualificationsB.A. in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or the likeFour (4) to six (6) years of experience in a public relations agency or similar position; one (1) or more years of supervisory experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)CompensationIn order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, the Company believes the target range of base compensation for this role is $85K - 90K.
