Travel RN Med Surg | Fenton, Missouri
Deliver skilled nursing care in a dynamic med-surg setting on the 8 East Neuro unit in Fenton, MO. This 13-week travel RN assignment offers a rewarding opportunity to support patient recovery through comprehensive assessment, planning, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. The role requires proficiency in inpatient med-surg nursing, with preferred experience in neuro care.Responsibilities:Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for diverse adult patients.Collaborate with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort.Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold patient rights in accordance with nursing practice standards and facility policies.Participate in float assignments as needed to similar or lower acuity units.Adhere to infection control protocols, including flu vaccination requirements during flu season.Utilize EMR system EPIC to document patient care accurately.Qualifications:Current RN license eligible or active in Missouri.Minimum of 1 year inpatient Med-Surg nursing experience required.BLS certification from AHA mandatory; ACLS from AHA preferred.Ability to perform physical duties including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.Strong interpersonal skills with commitment to professional accountability.Schedule & Commitment:Day shifts, 0700-1930.36 or 48 guaranteed hours weekly (flexible, must be specified upon application).Weekend coverage every other weekend as required.No call responsibilities.Location Insight: Fenton, MO, is part of the Greater St. Louis area, offering a blend of suburban comfort and metropolitan access.
