This role will assure that the correct codes are used for these shipments to assure it meets custom clearance requirements. This role will also handle daily outbound shipments using LTL carriers to ship customer freight.Reports to:Logistics Manager North AmericaResponsibilities and Objectives: Assure that all division inbound, and outbound freight meets delivery expectations for custom requirements. Work with all divisional customer service agents to prepare and resolve incoming and outgoing freight for international and domestic shipments. Monitor any update requirements for custom changes or request. Set up and schedule all LTL shipments and manage portal entries to ship freight out. Assist with small parcel shipments when needed. Meet deadlines for “hot” shipments. Complete all paperwork needed to deliver packages to international and domestic customers going large freight or specialty carrier transport. Work with divisional areas to improve ship methods for international goods. Qualifications: Technical knowledge and experience with customs exports and imports. Knowledge of HTS coding required by import government internationally and domestic. Advanced SAP knowledge of material search, process, and logistic modules. Capacity to manage and to follow up on international and domestic shipments services. Combined technical knowledge of requirements for import rules and codes, and knowledge of SAP, and customer requirements. Communications skills and moderate computer skills a must. Excellent listening skills, curiosity, comprehension, self-motivation, problem-solving skills Preferred geographic base: Spartanburg-Greenville, South Carolina areaWork schedule:Standard Operating Hours: M – F, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Expectation to follow guidelines set forth in the Employee Handbook. In the event of working required overtime on a non-standard workday (Saturday, Sunday, Holiday), 1-1/2 times the hours worked will be paid.
