About the roleThe IETF Administration LLC (IETF LLC) is looking for an organized, conscientious, and creative individual to join our team as a Program Manager. The IETF Administration LLC (IETF LLC) is a small not-for-profit that is the corporate home for the community-led Internet standards organization, the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). The IETF is the premiere global Internet standards organization, publishing hundreds of technical specifications per year, all developed through its community process. The IETF community is made up of 50,000 or so engineers and academics from across the globe, of whom about 7,000 are active each year.  In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to the IETF's LLC Board of Directors, Executive Management and the IETF community as a whole. From managing calendars and taking meeting minutes to posting documents and responding to support requests, you will be on the front lines of our community support efforts. The role will be managed by the Director of Leadership Operations.This role is employed via our trusted partner Association Management Solutions, to ensure seamless compliance with state-specific payroll and tax laws. They serve as the "Employer of Record" for all administrative functions, while you work directly with our team.Key role responsibilities1. Board/Executive SupportAssist Board and related subcommittees with their general duties and action item trackingMaintain Board calendars (Google Calendar) and mailing listsAttend Board Meetings and Strategy Sessions and produce minutes from those meetingsAssist executives with external reportsAssist with Board member onboarding and offboarding processAssist with Board meeting agenda preparationMaintain Board-related pages on our websitesCollecting Conflict of Interest statements from directors, staff and contractorsAdministrative support of the RFP and contracting processGeneral executive support2. Community SupportRespond to general inquiries via email and dispatch requests to other staff using an online ticketing systemHelp community members post technical documents to our online portalManage posting of entries in our liaison and IPR databasesManage IETF email list creationMaintain content on IETF websites3. Meeting SupportStaff the registration desk at IETF meetingsAssist Meetings Team as needed onsite at IETF meetingsKey candidate attributesExcellent communication and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesStrong organizational skills and a proactive, self-directed work style.The ability to pay rigorous attention to detail while maintaining a view of the bigger picturePositive attitude and passion for providing excellent customer serviceComfort working in Google Workspace or similar software suitesStrong computer skills and a knack for learning new programsAn interest in open standards, the Internet ecosystem, or technology communities (a plus, not a must).This is a full-time position that requires international and domestic travel for IETF meetings three times a year (approximately 10 days per trip), as well as annual board strategy sessions (approximately three days per trip). Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
