We specialize in keeping trucks on the road and minimizing downtime through fast, reliable mobile service, honest diagnostics, and dependable repair solutions. Our team supports semi-trucks, tractor-trailers, and commercial fleets with emergency roadside repair, on-site maintenance, and fleet service programs. What You'll Be Doing We are hiring Mobile Repair Technicians to perform field-based mechanical work, diagnostics, and maintenance on diesel and commercial vehicles. You do NOT need to be a master diesel mechanic to apply — we are open to experienced mechanics from automotive, equipment, fleet, or heavy-duty backgrounds who are willing to learn and grow. Responsibilities include: * Perform mobile diagnostics and basic mechanical repairs on commercial vehicles * Complete preventative maintenance (oil changes, fluid checks, inspections, etc.) * Assist with brake work, component replacement, and system checks * Perform DOT inspections (training provided if needed) * Respond to roadside breakdowns and service calls * Maintain safe work zones during roadside service * Use tools and equipment safely and efficiently * Document work performed and communicate updates clearly * Participate in ongoing training and skill development What We're Looking For * Experience as a mechanic, technician, or similar hands-on repair role (diesel, automotive, fleet, equipment, or heavy-duty) * Willingness to learn diesel systems and mobile diagnostics * Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently in the field * Valid driver's license required * Ability to lift up to 100 lbs * Strong attendance, reliability, and professionalism * Willingness to work in a fast-paced, roadside environment What We Offer * $21 - $50 per hour based on experience * Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision) * Paid time off and holidays * Tool assistance program * Boot reimbursement ($150/year) * Safety glasses reimbursement ($175/year) * HSA / FSA options * Company-paid life insurance * Short- and long-term disability coverage * Training and advancement opportunities * Year-round, stable work Why Join J&A Fleet * Mobile, real-world repair work (not stuck in a shop all day) * Strong demand and consistent workload * Hands-on training and growth into advanced diesel diagnostics * Opportunity to build a long-term career in fleet service
