Working closely with executive leadership, you will lead and scale a team of Event Directors and Event Managers, ensuring world-class client delivery and pushing the boundaries of innovation in the experiential space.This role focuses on cross-functional integration, effective communication, and alignment between global divisions. You will oversee operational functions to ensure optimal output and resource allocation in tandem with our office in London.RESPONSIBILITIESTeam ManagementLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Event Directors and Senior Managers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.Oversee staffing and resource management, managing workflow and project allocation in collaboration with department leads.Implement best-in-class management practices, including consistent 1-on-1s, performance reviews, and professional development initiatives.Spearhead recruitment efforts, identifying top talent and leading the interview process for the events division.Manage team schedules and PTO approvals in accordance with company policy.Financial AccountabilityProvide full financial oversight, including the review of project forecasts, profitability, and cash flow.Direct the budgeting process and provide final approval for high-value event budgets.Negotiate and manage vendor agreements, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and commission structures.Own the departmental P&L, contributing to long-term financial planning and margin optimization.Client Delivery and RelationshipsArchitect robust account management structures to sustain and grow long-term client partnerships.Champion a client-centric philosophy, ensuring exceptional service delivery and satisfaction across all touchpoints.Oversee the execution of major events and new client launches, ensuring rigorous best practices and effective resource planning.Act as a strategic advisor to key clients, fostering high-level relationships and securing the agency’s position as a trusted partner.Operational OversightDrive operational efficiency across all event-related activities, ensuring alignment with global standards.Evaluate and optimize Tech Stack ROI and internal event processes.Streamline the onboarding and contracting process for both clients and vendors.Execute vendor performance evaluations to ensure service quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.Standardize the \"Live Event Process\" documentation, ensuring it is comprehensive, current, and strictly followed.Partner with Operations/HR to ensure compliance with local labor laws and Health & Safety regulations.Growth and Business DevelopmentStrategic Growth Alignment: Partner with the Business Development team to execute North American growth strategies and penetrate new market segments.RFPs & Pitches: Lead the development of compelling RFP responses and high-impact pitch presentations to win new business.Brand Positioning: Collaborate with Marketing to leverage the position of events and Total Management Group Revenue Targets: Drive organic growth within existing accounts and secure new business to meet annual sales goals.Market Intelligence: Monitor US market trends and the competitive landscape to inform future growth strategies.SKILLS & EXPERIENCE8+ years of leadership experience in live experiential event production globally, preferably within a fast-paced agency environment.Strong commercial acumen, with proven experience in P&L management, complex budgeting, and high-level vendor negotiations.Proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams, with a focus on mentorship, talent retention, and performance culture.Executive-level client service skills, with extensive experience leading successful RFP responses and multi-million dollar pitches.Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of end-to-end event production, compliance, and risk management.Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work seamlessly across departments to align on broader corporate objectives.WHY TOTAL MANAGEMENTWe strive to be an equal opportunity employer, providing career development and growth with competitive salaries.
