Optical Network Engineer

A company is looking for an Optical Network Engineer III. Key Responsibilities Perform moves/adds/changes on the optical network, including hands-on configuration of Nokia PSS, CISCO NCS2015, and Ciena 6500 platforms Design, build, configure, and manage the installation and deployment of the optical network infrastructure Interpret complex work packages, execute tasks, and create detailed Method of Procedure (MOP) documents Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Optical Transport Deployment 3+ years of experience with operation, administration, and maintenance of optical transport networks Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience Strong familiarity with OTN, SONET, and DWDM technologies Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
