Senior Canonical Data Modeler
Scottsdale Arizona (Onsite)
Overall 15 experience in data projects
We are seeking an experienced Senior Canonical Data Modeler to lead the design and development of our enterprisewide canonical data models The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of data modeling principles data governance and data architecture They will work closely with business stakeholders data architects and IT teams to create and maintain standardized reusable and scalable canonical data models that support our organizations strategic objectives
Responsibilities
1 Lead the development and maintenance of canonical data models ensuring alignment with business requirements and data governance policies
2 Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business needs and develop data models that meet those needs
3 Design and implement data models that are scalable flexible and adaptable to changing business requirements
4 Ensure data models are consistent with industry standards and best practices
5 Develop and maintain data modeling standards guidelines and procedures
6 Provide expertise and guidance on data modeling and data governance to IT teams and business stakeholders
7 Collaborate with data architects to ensure alignment with enterprise data architecture
8 Participate in data governance councils and working groups to ensure data models align with organizational data governance policies
9 Stay uptodate with industry trends and emerging technologies in data modeling and data governance
Requirements
1 15 years of experience in data modeling with a focus on canonical data modeling
2 Strong understanding of data modeling principles data governance and data architecture
3 Experience with data modeling tools and technologies such as Erwin PowerDesigner or similar
4 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work with business stakeholders and IT teams
5 Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with ability to understand complex business requirements
6 Experience with data governance frameworks and best practices
7 Experience in Supply Chain Management SCM
8 Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
Nice to Have
1 Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
2 Certification in data modeling or data governance such as CDM or CDMP
3 Experience with cloudbased data platforms and technologies
4 Knowledge of data quality and data integration principles
5 Experience with agile development methodologies

Benefits
Compensation range: $ 120,000.00 to 150,000.00 per year
