The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for managing and overseeing purchasing processes, maintaining accurate purchase orders, and analyzing procurement data to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance. The role includes working closely with vendors, negotiating contracts, maintaining inventory levels, and supporting operational efficiency through effective supply chain management. Key Responsibilities: · Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability · Obtain and compare quotes from vendors · Create and process purchase orders · Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment · Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms · Complete Vendor set up applications· Maintain supplier relationships and resolve vendor issues · Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials · Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation · Collaborate with accounting, warehouse, and operations departments · Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures · Analyze purchasing data and identify cost-saving opportunities· Any and all tasks assigned Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferredExperience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or inventory managementStrong negotiation and communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/purchasing systemsExcellent organizational and time-management abilitiesAbility to analyze pricing and vendor performanceDetail-oriented with strong problem-solving skillsExperience with Epicor Prophet 21 is preferred
