Precision Assembler II

Summary Install and remove mechanical and electrical components in assemblies and sub-assemblies per work instructions and/or visual aids. May troubleshoot failed assemblies to determine corrective action. Responsibilities Uses hand tools and custom fixtures, working in a team environment to produce products on time and with high quality. Performs validation and inspection of own work and of the immediate work area. Maintains adequate supplies and a neat, orderly work area. Maintains tools and equipment in proper working order. Maintains the security and confidentiality of customer products and documentation. May become involved with product testing. Participates in providing timely feedback to upstream and downstream operations as appropriate. Proactively participates in site Lean engagement and activities. Provides feedback on ways to reduce scrap created within the process by recommending corrective action to reduce or eliminate root cause. Adheres to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor. Complies with all company security policies and procedures. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Cross-trained in all assigned operations and/or is a specialist or SME in at least one involved process. Works with moderately complex processes and challenging customer expectations. Uses independent judgment with minimum oversight by supervision. Works with complex product testing. Serves as a mentor to less-skilled employees. Manages multiple and changing priorities. Possesses specialized knowledge and is multi‐skilled. Is competent with reading and understanding of blueprints. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Ability to read, write, and perform basic‐intermediate math. Ability to perform moderate‐complex placement and testing. 3–10 years working with all processes or a specialized knowledge in one or more processes. Location and Schedule Concord, CA Shift: Shift 8 Work Schedule: Friday–Sunday 5:00am–5:30pm Full Time Safety – Drug Testing This position is classified as safety‐sensitive because impairment while performing job duties could pose a significant risk of harm. Where permitted by applicable law or required by federal regulation, Benchmark will conduct a pre‐employment drug screen, which may include testing for THC. Compensation and Benefits Compensation Range: $23.51 to $35.26 USD per hour. Benefits and Other Compensation: Bonus Plan, 401(k), Paid Time Off, Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance, all based on scheduled hours.
