Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $11,140 - $11,750Location: Syracuse, NY 13212 - Central New York; close to outdoor recreation, lakes, parks, and cultural attractionsSetting: Outpatient Surgery Center / Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)Case Types: General Anesthesia and Orthopedic Anesthesia (ambulatory/ASC cases)Shift: Day shift - 8-hour days, 5 shifts per week (Mon-Fri, 07:30 AM - 03:30 PM)Duration: 52-week locum tenens contractOpenings: 6 locum anesthesiologist positions Key Qualifications (Anesthesiologist Requirements) M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited College of MedicineCompletion of an approved residency in AnesthesiologyCurrent Physician license preferred in New York or ability to obtain NY state medical licenseMinimum 1 year of clinical anesthesia practice experience; outpatient surgery center experience preferredProficiency in regional anesthesia and peripheral nerve blocks (experience performing and supervising blocks required)Experience supervising CRNAs (typical 4:1 supervision ratio) and collaborating with perioperative teamsWillingness to cross-credential with Crouse Hospital as required Responsibilities - Anesthesia & Perioperative Care Direct and coordinate activities within the Anesthesia Department for outpatient surgical casesProvide safe anesthetic care for general and orthopedic procedures in an ASC settingPerform pre-anesthesia assessments, obtain/verify informed consent, and discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients and familiesInduce, maintain, and emerge patients from anesthesia while continuously monitoring vital signs and physiological statusPerform airway management and appropriate clinical interventions when neededProvide supervision and oversight of CRNAs to ensure adherence to protocols and optimal patient outcomesCollaborate closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and perioperative teams to optimize patient flow, safety, and efficiency This locum tenens anesthesiologist role is ideal for MD/DO candidates seeking long-term locum work in New York anesthesiology jobs, outpatient anesthesia, or ambulatory surgery center positions.
