MAU is hiring a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer for our client in Bangor. As a CNC Programmer, you will generate, verify, and maintain CNC programs, support manufacturing engineers, and provide technical assistance on the shop floor. This is a contract, long-term opportunity.Required Education and Experience:Bachelor’s Degree, Associate’s Degree, or Machinist Apprentice (or similar) graduate with 3 years of experience with graphical based CAM System CNC Programming [OR] High School Degree w/6 years of experience with graphical based CAM System CNC Programming. Preferred Education and Experience:Preference will be given to candidates with Siemens NX CAM experience (1953 or later)Experience creating 5-axis CNC programs using a CAM systemMinimum of 1 year of experience with high-level machine tool controls including sub-routine(macro), Renishaw probing routine, and variable based programming.Bachelor degree in Engineering or Machine Tool Technology.Experience machining high temperature superalloys found in HDGT or Aerospace components.Large VTL, VBM, HBM programming experienceCreep feed grind experienceSinker, Wire, Fast Hole Drill EDM experienceAbility to safely operate machinery including setup and prove out of first piecesStrong problem solving and organization skills, with above average shop math skills in geometry and trigonometry. Experience using Vericut (preferred) or other CNC verification/machine simulation software.Strong familiarity with multiple machine controls including Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, Siemens, and G&LDemonstrated proficiency interpreting drawing requirements.Experience with large precision grinding applicationsAbility to multi-task and productively manage multiple projects concurrently.Essential Functions:Work and support operations on first shiftGenerate and maintain CNC programs utilizing NX-CAM or other software. This could include multi-axis milling, turning, grinding and/or EDM.Verify new CNC programs prior to release on the shop floor utilizing Vericut.Provide CNC related support to M.E. (Manufacturing Engineer) and provide operator training during new / rebuilt machine startup and / or process improvements.Provide daily operator support in the form of CNC programming and troubleshooting support to the shop floor.Support and implement tooling & fixturing requirements associated with CNC machine tools.Generate and support workstation instructions (methods) for CNC related issues.Initiate and lead process improvement projects to improve safety, quality, cost and delivery.Provide effective communication to appropriate team members when needed.Work effectively as an individual and in a team-based environment in a matrixed organization.Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while embracing and driving positive change inside and outside the organization when appropriate.MAU Workforce Solutions is an innovative global company with extensive experience providing solutions for success in staffing, recruiting, technology and outsourcing to our clients, employees, and applicants.
